Who You Are – Job Requirements

We are looking for a mid-level, full-stack web software engineer with the experience and skill set below. We need someone that is skillful, effective, and quality-oriented, who can ramp up quickly and be able to help us continue to develop and improve cutting-edge web-based software.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, IS, or equivalent
• 4+ years’ experience developing web services in Python & Django
• 4+ years’ experience developing rich, single page applications with Javascript and/or Typescript
• 2+ years’ experience building complex web applications in AngularJS and/or Angular (2+)
• Strong expertise in CSS3 and HTML5
• Deep experience with Object Oriented Programming, Functional Programming, Testing, Data Structures, Complex Algorithms, Code Optimization, Databases, and a solid grasp of coding best practices and computational impacts
• Strong understanding and experience of REST, HTTP and other web-based client-server architectures
• Power user of tools that accelerate and enhance development (IDE’s and editors, Chrome dev tools, command line scripting, Python degugger, etc.)
• Relevant experience in other languages and frameworks is a plus
• Experience with complex cloud-based deployments and DevOps is a plus

What You Will Do

You will be working across our full stack, which includes Python and Django on the back-end, and Javascript, Typescript, and Angular on the front-end. We have a UI team to help with development and maintenance of our CSS styles and HTML components, so your role will primarily be to build the application logic across the rest of the stack. You will be an integral part of a small but highly productive development team of ~12 software engineers, working on features, enhancements, bugs, and projects that have a direct, critical impact on our users and business.
