Brandfolder is looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer focused on Data with a strong perspective on data architecture, data processing, and schema design to enable our platform’s growth as a leader in Digital Asset Management. You will inspire the most recognizable brands in the world, including TripAdvisor and Slack and GettyImages clients by embedding within our engineering teams to drive success on challenging high-scale problems. Our business is built on finding great people and getting out of their way while they build and improve our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. On the Brandfolder team, you will bring a hands-on approach to our next tier of data challenges. You will use your experience to take our existing data infrastructure to the next level, combating challenges in scalability. You will be the go-to resource to guide us towards best practices in data schema design, development, and maintenance. You will also support our existing data-driven projects, increasing speed and reliability.
Who are we looking for? You build data structures designed for reliability and scalability. You are passionate about choosing the right architecture to design and deploy your solutions. You advocate for best practices across data schemas, cloud native data architectures, and data processing pipelines, and have extensive experience with Python and BigQuery. You understand how to evolve a data architecture into a system with best-in-class tools for observability. You have a passion for shipping products to customers/users.

Base salary range for this role to be between $102,120 and $131,560. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive annual bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. Here’s a little more on what we’re seeking:
Responsibilities
Partner with data scientists and software engineers to develop a best-in-class data architecture, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and functionality.
Leverage observability and monitoring tooling such as Rollbar and Datadog for delivering reliable data pipelines
Ensure that all data systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practices, and are optimized for cost effectiveness.
Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems, especially the ETL pipeline, currently run through Fivetran
Qualifications
Requirements
5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
Positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
The drive to take initiative and own high-impact projects from day one
Advanced skills in Python and SQL
Experience with BigQuery, Airflow, Google Cloud Storage, and Postgres
Experience developing, maintaining, and monitoring data/ETL pipelines
Strong knack for picking up new tools and technologies, continuously learning
Have a passion for troubleshooting and finding solutions in a production environment
Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
