Built on the market's first third-party cyber risk Exchange, CyberGRX arms organizations with a dynamic stream of third party-data and advanced analytics so they can efficiently manage, monitor and mitigate risk in their partner ecosystems.

What does this Back-End Software Engineer do at Cyber GRX?

You’ll focus on the back-end part of our stack. You will have responsibility for both Python or Go oriented back-end services which constitute the majority of our platform. Our technology stack should be extremely familiar to you.

What a day in the life looks like:

• You’ll work with Python 3, GIL and its limitations, Asyncio, while focusing on code quality and PEP8.  
• You will be involved with microservices architectures and RESTful APIs (some of our older interfaces) and GraphQL (most of our interfaces, and our strategic direction going forward.) 
• As a back-end engineer you won’t be directly responsible for AWS management, but familiarity with the AWS environment will be a strong plus. 
• You’ll work on Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker in general, ElasticSearch and Kibana. 
• In addition to Postgres/RDS, we use a graph database called Neo4J – possibly not familiar to you, but an opportunity to learn. 
• Familiarity with Kubernetes will help you get up to speed faster.
• You will be a key contributor in the design and development of our microservices architecture and our overall platform.  
• You will be part of a collaborative team of 8-12 engineers focused on back-end technology and will work closely with 8-12 engineers focused on front-end (Javascript/React/web client) technology. 

What you bring to the table:

• You have demonstrable prior experience building 24/7, high-availability B2B SaaS platforms on the AWS platform.
• You have an appreciation for unit test strategies and test automation in general and recognize that these are responsibilities shared across both Development and Test teams.
• You are a collaborative engineer, working with DevOps and System Test teams to understand our full stack and ensure our architectural vision remains coordinated, well-understood, and built-to-last.
• You’ve worked for a cybersecurity organization or Saas
• You thrive best in an ever changing and fast paced organization.
• Experience working for a start-up is a huge plus.
