We are looking for a Software Development Manager to grow and manage an outstanding group of software engineers, architects, and quality assurance engineers focused on creating and maintaining products and technologies for our fleet products. Utilizing Agile development methodologies, this manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX Designers, Site Reliability and other development groups to collaborate, design and develop exciting products for ZOLL.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design, development, and distribution cycles on multiple product lines and projects
• Developing technical and professional skills of engineering staff to meet the product development requirements of the business.
• Direct experience managing onshore and offshore joint development teams
• Participate in all aspects of product development from feature definition and estimation, to architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Develop, track, and communicate progress and risks to technology roadmap, maintaining alignment with product roadmap to support multiple stakeholders
• Oversee and build consensus on architecture and critical implementations, product and code quality, and use of best practices for highly scalable and secure systems
• Proven ability driving application security, quality, agile and development best practices and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of managing development teams
• 5+ years of experience building large-scale, highly available distributed systems
• 5+ years of experience in an Agile Scrum environment
• 5+ years of architectural or tech lead experience, preferably in a professional SaaS application development environment  
• Experience with mobile application development (iOS, Android, Xamarin)
• Experience with the following languages/environments: C,C++,Javascript,C#,.NET, Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience developing with NoSQL DBs
• Experience developing/managing public cloud application development
• Integration/Architecture patterns background: Microservices, SOA, Message Queuing, Service Bus, APIs, REST, Web Services
• Experience with automated integration and unit tests (CI/CD, Integration & Acceptance Testing)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing software for Healthcare companies
