Overview

Four Winds Interactive seeks a Software Developer to work with the product development team. This position will serve as the JavaScript Developer for web-based products, at times including mobile. The Software Developer will work with development teams, Quality Assurance and product management to deploy scalable applications. The Software Developer is not a management position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop non-traditional web application using JavaScript and jQuery technologies
  • Develop new features, enhancements, and maintain software products and applications 
  • Collaborate with related teams to create consistency within similar/related product suite 
  • Responsible for Unit testing regularly
  • Keep current with market trends on web applications and recommend solutions and options to the development team
  • Design and develop prototypes for various concepts and applications
  • Make sure the applications comply to support W3C standards and can support multiple browsers
  • Attend product release meetings and participate in planning and scoping of product features

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science/Technology or equivalent experience
  • 5+ year developing highly scalable, web-based software applications
  • 5+ years’ developing JavaScript code

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert level development skills using JavaScript and jQuery
  • Expert experience with CSS3
  • Strong experience with HTML5, preferred experience using HTML5 JavaScript API
  • Understanding of how to write clean code that manages complexity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Unit Testing best practices
  • Good at solving problems and thinking creatively
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a strong team player

Desired Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comfortable coding and/or editing C# and ASP.NET
  • Additional experience or knowledge of ReactJS and ExpressJS
  • Experience consuming web services, RESTful or related
