ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Software Application Security Engineer, you’ll be a member of our engineering team with a focus on keeping our products as secure as possible. You will guide our security efforts, evaluate potential flaws in our products, and educate the other team members on best practices. This is a critical role within our engineering team as we strive to have the most secure solution in the title and escrow industry. We are looking for someone who can both provide guidance in application security throughout the stack and work with a development team to implement. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide input into the design of features across all components of our application (web, thick client, application server, and database).

Take a lead role in the implementation of security-focused features (e.g. encryption, SSO, etc.) utilizing the Microsoft .NET stack.

Evaluate the results of static analysis, dynamic analysis, and 3rd party penetration tests. Fix or direct the fixing of any vulnerabilities and make changes as appropriate.

Be a thought leader within the engineering team and keep up-to-date on industry trends and vulnerabilities in the tools/frameworks/technologies we use.

Recommend training and provide guidance on best practices to other developers.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

You have at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or the work experience to show you don't need one.

You have an industry recognized application security certification, such as CISSP or CSSLP, or are willing to obtain one within your first 6 months of employment.

You have at least 3 years of experience in an application security-focused role.

You have experience working on all layers of an enterprise application or large consumer application with a large user base.

You have several years of experience working with the Microsoft .NET framework (preferred) or comparable framework with desire to learn .NET.

You know how to communicate. On the phone or in person, you're personable and articulate. In emails, you're clear and helpful. In meetings, you contribute ideas.

You like to solve problems.

You can work full-time at our Superior, CO office.
