Brandfolder is looking for a talented and motivated Site Reliability Engineer or a Senior Engineer with significant experience building applications looking to embrace the mindset of an SRE. Your experience building and scaling system with a passion for observability will help us keep pace with our growth. We are an established leader in the Digital Asset Management space and your work will power the most recognizable brands in the world including TripAdvisor and Slack and GettyImages clients. At our core, Brandfolder is brand-focused, crafts simple and intuitive experiences, and builds elegant and scalable solutions. As an SRE you will have the opportunity to impact all facets of our system by contributing application code, configuration updates, and driving best practices across the team.
Who are we looking for? You have a solid foundation in modern web applications and can foster and apply sound engineering practices whether you are building, operating, or creating infrastructure. Our engineering teams will rely on you to enable their projects with code-level input as well as infrastructure creation and configuration. We will lean on you to grow our observability practices and further leverage our engineering toolset (Datadog, Rollbar, GCP/AWS, Terraform, etc.). What you’ll do
Join a collaborative and inclusive team tackling great technical challengesDeploy changes daily and facilitate our team’s high velocity
Contribute to best-in-class development patterns and practices as we grow
Keep our system maintainable through modern tooling, infrastructure as code, and SRE best-practices
Build for and measure user success, improve tooling and observability, and drive us to build a more resilient system
Become an integral contributor to the direction of application code and the product
Support and grow our existing features and captivated users that leverage them
Qualifications
What you’ll need
6+ years of engineering experience producing production-grade applications
Positive attitude and the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Comfort in an array of languages (static/dynamic such as Golang, Ruby, Python)
Awareness of where code executes and how it performs
Excitement for deployable containers
Ability to pick up new tools and technologies, continuously learning
History of leveraging monitoring and observability tooling in production
Bonus Points for
Experience with Terraform, CircleCI, Google Cloud Platform
Fluency in monitoring tooling options: logging, metrics, APM, and SLOs
Developing applications at scale
Working knowledge of architectures leveraging modern CDNs such as Fastly
The ability to elevate those around you
Interest in operational security
Previous work experience in a startup environment
