Site reliability engineering (SRE) is a discipline that incorporates aspects of software engineering and applies them to infrastructure and operations problems. The main goals are to create scalable and highly reliable software systems.

As a Infrastructure Engineer, you will be expected to…

• Ensure reliability and efficiency of all infrastructure related to application performance
• Develop and Automate provisioning and configuration solutions for a variety of infrastructure
• Create quantifiable failure and availability by utilizing Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
• Solve problems and think critically on a daily basis, often in time sensitive circumstances
• Communicate clearly, in writing and remote meetings, highly technical information in terms understandable across departments.
• Be a self-starter and able to bring that energy back to the team

About You 

• Expertise in Linux system administration
• Experience with infrastructure automation with Chef and Terraform
• Proficient in a major programming language (e.g. Python, Java) 
• Observability, Monitoring and Metrics (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Harness.io)
• Experience implementing SLI, SLO, and error budgets
• Experience improving RTO and RPO objectives
• Excited about high growth and open environment
• Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP, or AZURE) experience

Requirements | Preferred

• Jenkins experience is a strong plus
• Kubernetes experience is a strong plus
• Elasticsearch, Kafka, MySQL or other data systems is a strong plus

What You'll Do 

• Delivering on system SLAs by implementing necessary best practices
• Develop tools that improve logging, monitoring, telemetry, visualization, alerting, and reporting
• Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning
• Working with our Security Team to implement controls and resolve vulnerabilities
• Perform research and POC’s for new solutions to improve performance and stability
• Troubleshooting and Supporting our Production and Non-Production Engineering environments and teams
• On-call rotation to resolve system outages or perform emergency maintenance
• Attend team meetings and events
