Job Description: 

The Microsoft Sharepoint Specialist will work with Partners/Client technical architects/engineers to develop and assist with technical solutions to help their business delivery excellent service. This position requires hands-on technical design and implementation of Microsoft sharepoint infrastructure to ensure functionality is compatible with existing client infrastructure. Developing sharepoint that integrates with client networks and cloud environments and operate as a consultant for our Partners/Clients to define technical requirements, determine project scope, design/configure and implementation of the required solution. Additional responsibilities include assisting with SOW preparation and serve as a technical consultant and advise clients on infrastructure/Sharepoint functionality and suitability. The Microsoft Sharepont specialist plays an important role interacting with client management to drive operational efficiency for the business.

 

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions for PAX8 business partners.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on solutions to help our business partners grow their business.
  • Analyzes complex business requirements presented by Partners and recommend Sharepoint solutions
  • Document and maintain standards and procedures for implementing Sharepoint solutions
  • Produce project plans and include milestones and report on project progress
  • Developed custom site templates
  • Developed custom web parts and workflows
  • Implemented Document Management using features such as Site Columns, Security, and Versioning.
  • Created and modified Master Pages and Content Pages in Sharepoint Designer 2007.
  • Created and customized Sub Sites, Team Sites, Blogs and Alerts based on company needs.
  • Determine project scope, create SOW and obtain approvals
  • Oversees activity pertaining to the maintenance of SharePoint
  • Manages and revises the layout of Sharepoint site
  • Customizes Sharepoint site for company business needs
  • Analyzes daily user activity on Sharepoint
  • Maintains records of Sharepoint updates, maintenance, and activity
  • Reports to Pax8 management with updates and information about Sharepoint use
  • Provides technical support for SharePoint users
  • Addresses questions or concerns from business users or management regarding the functionality of the software
  • Keeps apprised of Microsoft updates to Sharepoint software
  • Install updates to Pax8 SharePoint as necessary
  • Maintains SharePoint firewalls and security
  • Host training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint
  • Consults with management to devise the most useful ways to apply Sharepoint to achieve business goals
  • Prioritize work across internal and external work groups
  • Establish a strong relationship with our product vendors and business partners
  • Be a strong advocate and align with ITIL services and support procedures
  • Ensure technical solutions align with project objectives

 

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrates specific knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Servers
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Implement best practices for maintaining information security
  • Manage confidential and sensitive company information responsibly
  • Demonstrate knowledge of website layouts and html
  • Be able to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms for explanatory purposes
  • Manages time efficiently and multi-tasks effectively
  • 5+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Sharepoint
  • Works well in a collaborate environment, as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of writing proposals, papers, and documentation, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to clients and upper management
  • Be proactive and take the lead with problem resolution and coach Partners to resolve complex issues
  • Proven experience of delivering excellent client services

 

Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable experience.
  • 5+ years of Sharepoint administration experience in a large environment 
  • MCSA or CCNP Cloud certifications (preferred)
  • MS Office suite (including MS Project and advance Excel skills) and Sharepoint
  • Project Management certified (preferred)
  • ITIL foundation certification
