At Spectralink we are committed to creating lasting relationships with our customers and ensuring their success with our portfolio of mobile devices, service offerings, and partner solutions.  As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and help deploy large enterprise wide mobility solutions that touch everything from the backend servers, wired/wireless networks, to Android OS. This is an ideal position for a senior engineer that enjoys variety and solving tough technical challenges on a regular basis. Below is a list of some of what you'll do, but don’t consider it an exhaustive list or shy away if you don't have experience with every bullet.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading project work including analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing of client's systems to ensure a successful Spectralink device rollout.
  • Assess customer integrated solutions and be able to replicate and test in a lab environment that closely simulates the deployed environment.
  • Provide product support to all systems and manage all requests for systems and assist to resolve all issues and perform regular troubleshooting on all network issues and analyze all system logs.
  • Use data from tools like Wireshark to analyze logs and be able to make recommendations to clients.
  • Be the ultimate investigator. You'll need to troubleshoot and explain complex system integrations between networks, voice, server platforms, applications, and Android devices.
  • Working with both technical and non-technical clients to help solve their business problems. This will be both in-person and remote.

Technical skills you bring to the table:

  • Capability to create scripts to automate operations and analysis of logging or configuration content using Perl, Python, Java or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with embedded software and systems development and troubleshooting.
  • Expert level packet analysis capability using tools like Wireshark
  • Expert level understanding of wired and wireless network systems, operations and implementation.
  • Expert level understanding of IP Voice and TDM systems, operation and implementation.
  • Understanding of Android operating system, applications and troubleshooting options.
  • Must be proficient in Linux command line and system operation.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning, high-availability, backup, recovery and continuity solutions.
  • 10+ years in a Systems, Software, Electrical, or Network Engineering position
  • Expert level knowledge of Cisco voice, switching, routing and security products and how they integrate with different customer environments.
  • Cisco CCNP Professional Level certifications, CCIE highly desired

Non-technical skills you bring to the table:

  • Customer first mentality. You're skilled at identifying customer issues and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Act as operational and technical liaison with strategic partners to provide support and engineering coordination for any issues raised by partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to work with users from all levels of the organization from highly technical to end users and executives.
  • Creative problem solving. You have an innate curiosity and enjoy digging into tough problems and know there's more than one way to solve the same problem.
  • Process oriented. You've worked in an Agile development environment and value testing and documenting every step of the way.
  • You're a self-starter and don't need a lot of direction to get the work done. You know how to prioritize your time and make sure all deliverables meet the customers' expectations.

Travel - up to 60% (occasional international travel)

Location - Boulder, CO (will provide relocation assistance for the right candidate)
