POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Senior System Control Engineer to join the Operations Engineering team at ArcherDX/Invitae. This team is responsible for transferring, developing and improving process in the regulated In Vitro Device operation. Our process must be capable of producing a high volume and high mix of customized assays used in oncology, immunology, and constitutional genomics. The Senior System Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving automated manufacturing equipment to meet the requirements of the process. This equipment will interoperate with a manufacturing execution system and ERP systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deploy and refine control systems (APC/DCS)
  • Implement and support supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)
  • Deploy/program PLC when necessary
  • Programming
  • Specify and select equipment
  • Analyze and improve current production systems and equipment
  • Provide expertise in automation and scale-up
  • Generate documentation required to create and improve automated and manual process
  • Adapt robotic equipment to support the automation of the production processes
  • Testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems
  • Analyze data and present findings in written reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards


EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-12 years of control system experience in production support/sustaining and/or process development, design, scale-up, and process improvement
  • Experience designing, programming and delivering applications
  • Experience working in a GXP environment with emphasis on GCP, GLP, and GMP
  • Control systems and robotics experience
  • Precision liquid handling experience (is a plus)

EDUCATION:
