In this role, you will work with engineering and business partners to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. You will be able to demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. You will lead product solutioning end to end for new innovations with iterative improvements. You will collaborate with peer and cross functional teams across the globe. You will have a strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development. You will be a culture champion on the team and across the company. You have a track record of successful software architecture design and implementation. 
 

For this role, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields with 10+ years of professional experience or Master’s Degree with 8+ years of experience. You will have proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements. You can demonstrate capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. You have experience with architecture design concepts and techniques and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners. You have excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D. You demonstrate experience in modern programming languages (for example, Java/C++) and design patterns. You have hands-on experience in building a microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale. You also have hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, XML, Web technologies, Web Services. You have worked in an Agile development methodology with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery). Financial Services industry experience is a plus. You have experience in Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google or Hybrid) based architecture designs and implementations.

The annual gross base salary range is $110,224.00 - $183,708.00. This role is also eligible to receive annual bonus. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
