In this crucial role you will work with engineering and business partners to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. You should demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards

In this role you will lead product solutioning end to end for new innovations with iterative improvements, collaborate with peer and cross functional teams across the globe, strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development, and be a culture champion on the team and across the company

You will need a track record of successful software architecture design and implementation, proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements, demonstrated capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards, and experience with architecture design concepts and techniques and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.

You will need excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D.

You will need demonstrated experience in modern programming languages (for example, Java and design patterns, hands-on experience in building a microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale, and hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, XML, Web technologies, Web Services.

You will need experience with Java, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and  building web application experience  in ReactJs/AngularJs, Node Js, Next Js. Required knowledge and understanding of technical/application architecture, application systems design and integration in a large enterprise environment with hands-on experience in SOA, Web Services (SOAP, REST, graphQL). You have hands-on experience with cloud design patterns and containers. AWS Solutions Architecture certification(s) is a plus.

You will need to have experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery).

Lastly, you will need a BS in Computer Science or related fields with 10+ years of professional experience or MS with 8+ years of experience, experience in Financial Services industry, and experience in Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google or Hybrid) based architecture designs and implementation.

Annual base salary gross:  $98,080-$163,467. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
