               DAT Solutions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has a desire to solve complex problems at web-scale. We're looking for creative problems solvers that want to join a newly formed team in our Denver office. This team focuses on our Ratings applications which process hundreds of thousands of records to provide pricing insights for the North American trucking industry. As a Sr. Software Engineer at DAT, you would be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting some of our most critical systems. As well as these responsibilities, you'll be working with new technologies to forward our business initiatives and modernize some of our legacy components.

What You'll Do:

• Work with a small agile team of software developers and test engineers.
• Collaborate with architecture groups to guide and define the technical direction of new and existing applications and capabilities.
• Leverage AWS to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Document software systems and project tasks.
• Participate in design & code reviews.

The Skills You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting complex applications at web-scale.
• Extensive experience in at least one object-oriented programming language; C++, Java, c#, etc.
• A knack for coming up with creative solutions to complex problems with minimal supervision.
• An ability to partner with business personal to decompose problems and articulate solutions to other software engineers.
• Experience building REST-ful APIs.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Deep understanding of build pipelines, deployment tools, and best practices in DevOps.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting in distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of cloud-based clustering and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)Bonus

Extra Skills:

• Experience working in the AWS ecosystem.
• Experience lifting and shipping legacy applications from on-premise / colocated data centers to cloud platforms.
• Experience developing streaming, real-time, data processing pipelines.
