Job Description - We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, the responsibilities of which will include working closely with other engineers to architect, design, build, and maintain new and existing Java Microservices, message bus and REST APIs, and ETL pipelines.

The high level duties include:

  • Writing code in a senior software engineer capacity
  • Managing large datasets and ETL pipelines
  • Mentoring fellow engineers in the agile team
  • Assisting in grooming and writing stories for the product backlog
  • Performing regular code reviews
  • Leading design teams for application and system architecture

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, design, and develop new Microservices
  • Develop and maintain reusable libraries
  • Optimize compile and runtime for maximum scalability and performance
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders in the SDLC
  • Ensure code standards are followed and code is tested using automated test frameworks
  • Work with and implement continuous integration and releasing methodologies

Requirements:

  • 8+ years working with Java
  • 3+ years working with Docker
  • 5+ years working with REST APIs
  • 5+ years working with a Message Bus technology like Kafka/RabbitMQ

Bonus:

  • Familiar with Python
  • Experience with CircleCI
  • Have worked with Semantic Versioning
  • Know Git
  • Knowledge of Maven
  • Use of Springframework
