The Opportunity:
Design, develop, and support Web and Windows based tools and applications for both internal and external business customers. Understand and execute all phases of the software lifecycle from design through delivery. Communicate with user community to gain understanding of requirements and issues. Prioritize projects and daily work in alignment with company strategy and contractual commitments.
The Day-to-Day
Responsibilities:
- Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.
- Works cross-functionally to address issues and emerging needs in software systems.
- Works on projects from enhancements, new features and bug fixes to new and replacement products.
- Works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
- Business travel is expected to be minimal
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a BS; or 3 years and a MS/PhD; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working with the full Microsoft technology stack, including .NET/C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET, ASP Core, MVC, and Web API
- Cloud programming experience (Ideally Azure)
- CSLA experience preferred
- Previous experience in an Agile Scrum software development environment
- Understanding of source control management tools such as GIT
- Experience working with issue tracking tools such as JIRA
