Position Summary

SRS is currently seeking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will work with a dedicated, cross-functional team to develop and implement web-based products. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with multiple teams and contribute to new ideas required in a diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web, mobile and standalone software applications
• Promote exceptional customer experience by actively participate in the solutions design process
• Use exceptional coding practices to facilitate code maintenance
• Write and maintain design, architecture and process documentation for software applications
• Work with a cross-functional team in an Agile environment to ensure successful product delivery
• Develop unit tests to confirm development efforts meet standard criteria
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to tests our applications
• Be comfortable with and promote Continuous Integration process activities
• Ability to speak up, actively confirm business & technical requirements, and deliver business value each Sprint
• Take direction from your team lead and communicate your progress in a timely manner
• Be available to work on site during regular business hours

Required Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
• 8 or more years of web development experience 
• At least 6 plus years of experience writing web applications in PHP or Python
• Proven hands on experience with web application frameworks such as Flask, Laravel or Spring
• Knowledge and experience with web application front end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Experience with Service based architectures
• Experience with version control systems such as GIT and SVN
• Experience with REST bases web services using JSON formatted data
• Good understanding of Object Oriented development practices and classical design patterns and data structures
• Basic SQL experience using relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
• Third party API integration experience

Ideal Qualifications 

• Comfortable using Linux based operating systems at the command line level
• Familiarity with Bash scripting
• Experience extending ERP / CRM systems like NetSuite would be helpful
