Alteryx is searching for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in our Broomfield, CO office (REMOTE is an option, based upon candidates location).

Position Overview:

Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are responsible for keeping all user-facing services and other Alteryx production systems running smoothly. Our SRE group is a new development at Alteryx where our team deploys, maintains, and operates Alteryx’s Cloud SaaS Products. Our team works closely with Product Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, and customer service teams to ensure SaaS services are available and performant. Our team originates customer software/service fixes, contributing to various codebases, ensuring product availability, scalability, and resiliency. As a member of this team, you will get to automate responses to alerts and program alert remediation.

As a Site Reliability Engineer you will:

  • Deploy, Provision, and maintain Alteryx’s Cloud SaaS products

  • Collaborate with product teams on non-functional requirements for SaaS products including resiliency, security, availability

  • Improve and configure product observability/alerts and automate remediation through programming

  • Contribute as an escalation point for customer SaaS instances for availability, performance, and application behavior issues

  • Author code fixes for software/service issues 

  • Collaborate with Product Engineering teams to merge code

  • Use your on-call shift to prevent incidents from ever happening

  • Assist and mentor associate team members

What you provide:

  • 3+ years experience designing, programming, and/or operating distributed systems software

  • 3+ years experience programming in Python, Go, Javascript, Java, .NET, or another modern programming language

  • 2+ years experience debugging software issues and performing RCAs

  • 1+ years experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, k3s, or similar container orchestration technology

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to containers, distributed systems, and Kubernetes

  • Knowledge with CI/CD technologies like ArgoCD, Jenkins, or another CD

  • Ability to break down and discuss technical issues and solutions with non-technical team members

  • Additional knowledge with modern observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, Splunk, SumoLogic, TICK stack

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $101,700 - $172,900. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
