Four Winds Interactive seeks a QA Engineer to work with the Quality Assurance Engineering team. This position is responsible for preventative identification of software issues through a thorough testing lifecycle of the software and related components. The QA Engineer will have a direct impact on the success of our software product suite by communicating with engineering teams to identify and resolve software related concerns. The QA Engineer will report to QA Manager or Director and this position is not a management position.

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, emphasis on quality, discipline and sense of teamwork on daily basis
  • Create and maintain test cases using test case management tool such as PractiTest
  • Execute functional, regression, acceptance, and other manual testing
  • Report, track and determine priority for bugs
  • Verify new features and assist with training if necessary
  • Work on documentation and other related tasks for release of products
  • Actively support/troubleshoot escalated issues from both internal and external customers
  • Install applications in the physical and virtualized environment
  • Set up test environments as needed
  • Provide status reports to QA Manager or Director as necessary

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in software quality assurance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify defects and verify bug fixes
  • Experience using issue tracking systems such as JIRA
  • Ability to write, execute test scripts and report on results
  • Experience with industry standard test management tools
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced and somewhat chaotic environment and manage continuously changing business needs; excellent multi-tasking and time management skills required
  • Testing experience in client/server, web and mobile applications
  • Solid knowledge in network troubleshooting
  • Flexible to work on various tasks on short notice
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

Helpful for Success:

  • Experienced in SQL DB/Server, IIS and installations for web applications
  • Familiarity with AWS and other cloud technology is a plus
  • Some experience in API and hardware testing
  • Experience in writing scripts, mark-up text, and expressions
  • Experience using Four Winds software and/or understanding of the Digital Signage Industry/Market
