A unique opportunity exists at Youtopia® for a self-starter with a growth mindset to join our start-up where innovation is valued. We need a Senior Mobile Applications QA Engineer to understand business needs, scope and ensure scalable, high-impact features for customers and internal teams.

As our Senior QA Applications Engineer, you will:

• Verify quality of mobile and web apps that are making material impact on our world for millions of users
• Perform end-to-end testing for high-quality deliverables, including documentation, functional, usability, UI, compatibility, performance, security, recovery, and localization
• Guide beta testing with real users on real devices
• Ensure certifiability of mobile apps meets standards, licensing agreements, terms of use, and requirements of App Store and Google Play
• Explore business domains with technical and non-technical members toward clarity for building the right things right
• Work with peers, product designers, and product managers to produce great products
• Participate in agile cycles (Scrum, Kanban) with certified peers and leadership
• Help establish and adopt best practices, including manual and automated testing tools, frameworks, and approaches
• Mentor less senior team members

What you bring to the table:

• Mastery in quality assurance of mobile and web apps that provide great, responsive UX
• Effective collaboration; great communication is key to any project
• Constant curiosity; constantly learning and evolving
• Comfort in wearing multiple hats, juggling multiple projects, and coordinating with existing dev team, DevOps, product managers, and stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of both testing mobile and web applications in agile environments
• 3+ years leading QA
• Experience documenting test plans, approaches, and results

• Experience with test automation
• Ability to improve and adapt to rapidly evolving programming environments
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TDD and BDD
• Experience leveraging CI/CD with automation platform
• Experience with advanced feature flag utilization
• Experience with Gherkin
• Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking product
• Experience working in startup environment
