What You Will Do

As a member of the Quality Assurance team reporting to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for writing and executing new automated tests as part of our quality assurance process. We are part of a fast-paced, agile product development team working toward more application test coverage and continuous integration within our testing process. You’ll have the opportunity to build tests from scratch in order to help ensure quality and identify problems before releases and during the development lifecycle. Key responsibilities & duties

  • Write and execute automated tests for new features and regression tests using Cypress
  • Integrate new automated tests into our automation pipeline to run during specific points in the development process
  • Develop and maintain automation outside of QA tests, including production releases, development commands, etc.
  • Be an expert in Jenkins
  • Continually improve the automated tests and automation test procedures
  • Work with the development team on any failures and bugs found
  • Architect new tests and frameworks beyond just end-to-end tests (i.e. load tests, performance tests, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other QA team members and Software Engineers on best practices and best ways to write tests
  • Mentor other QA team members on test automation
  • Run automated tests on a daily basis and analyze the results
  • Maintain current automation suite by updating tests when needed
  • Troubleshoot errors that occur in the automation suite and/or in the application based on test suite failures
  • Pitch in with manually testing efforts, if needed

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline
  • 3+ years working in Software Quality Assurance
  • 2+ years automating test cases – hopefully in JavaScript
  • Confident writing tests in JavaScript
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced product development team
  • Familiarity running automated tests with Jenkins a plus, but not required
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies
  • Passionate about software quality and a great customer experience
  • An organized professional capable of managing your time, tasks, and priorities without daily guidance
