Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager - EWS Test & Validation, you will work closely with both wireless device engineering and product teams reviewing solutions and network architectural designs to develop a comprehensive test strategy to bring products to market. You will drive teams and processes toward automation and will be responsible for the architecture of solutions to validate and verify combinations of product solutions and services. You will be responsible for setting clear objectives and expected outcomes from these test solutions through well articulated test plans and test cases. Comprehensive test plans will cover the assurance of the end-to-end experience as well as the individual components including but not limited to mobile network capabilities, systems ecosystem, services, devices and platforms are operational and meeting the customers expected outcomes. You must be a self-starter motivated by an internal fire to deliver the highest quality products to market. At DISH we aim to change the way the world communicates by connecting people and things. We are building a first of a kind cloud-based open architecture telecom network that will disrupt how services will be delivered and how businesses will realize new revenue. You will play a key role in bringing these products to life.
Responsibilities

  • Create a scalable validation process for products through the various stages of its development lifecycle.
  • Develop strategies for driving automation into everything you do
  • Be an inquisitive and learned student of the constraints of the Wireless line of business and its financial and operational needs; Know your products and your customers needs... know your business.
  • Build test plans and reports
  • Build test plans validating a product from all perspectives; Customer, Consumer, Enterprise or DISH.
  • Oversee the quality and execution efficiency of the plan.
  • Objectively encourage efficiency in process and preparedness while being creative in solving problems by using non-conventional means to reaching your outcome
  • Be accountable ensuring the success of the product and the customer


About You

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • 10 years of software engineering experience with telecommunications systems.
  • 5+ years of engineering or architecture of mobility core networks and/or private enterprise solutions
  • Extensive understanding of software development life cycle standards, test life cycle management, functional testing, test automation, commercial business validations, tracking, reporting etc
  • Experience managing product/development requirements and program milestones through agile SDLC tools and platforms (such as Jira)
  • Functional understanding of mobility wireless device and network feature dependencies and concepts such as 3GPP, 4G & 5G, 5G SA vs NSA, Network Slicing, spectrum bands, etc
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans on feature performance, stability, scalability as well end to end product validation
  • Working knowledge of mobility wireless service and supporting technologies such as private networks, CBRS spectrum, and WiFi
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Engineering and Marketing
  • Strong foundation in product development methodologies (e.g. Design Thinking, DevOps, Agile, Lean UX etc)
  • Preferred understanding of wireless device engineering, user equipment OEM/ODM specifications and certification
  • Preferred understanding of development and delivering cloud native products as a service, virtualized deployments, containerization, DEV/OPS and CI/CD pipelines
  • Preferred understanding of new and emerging security principals as it relates to virtualized networks, radio networks, edge networks and devices
  • Preferred understanding of cloud-native technologies


Salary Range
Compensation: $115,500.00/Year - $189,750.00/Year
