At the foundation of our ecommerce platform is our Cloud Core team. We enable every other team to run their cloud-based applications. This means that the majority of Fanatics' customers place orders thanks to the efforts of this team.

Our core cloud team owns:

• Kubernetes
• Terraform
• Packer
• CDN management
• VPCs, direct connects, IPAM
• Cloud accounts 

Our challenge over the next few years is to build more powerful tools and services. These will keep our engineering teams code flowing to production. They will be both powerful and safe, preventing outages and security issues.

You'll run a team of ~8 people, delivering things like:

• Automation - empower all our teams to provision infrastructure 
• Kubernetes - our proof of concept will grow into a crucial part of our operations
• Multi-region architecture - we need redundancy and proximity to our end-users

• You have a solid understanding of what's needed to operate highly-available services. 
• You know how to survey your engineering management peers and use the information to inform your team's priorities
• You insist on continuous improvement and have keen instincts for identifying rough spots
• You understand how to focus, rank priorities, and help the team simplify.
