We are looking for a motivated Senior JavaScript Engineer to come join our agile team of professionals. Our ideal candidate will have experience implementing JavaScript applications with an emphasis on optimization, API design and architecture.  If you are passionate about technology, constantly seeking to learn and improve skill set, then you are the type of person we are looking for!

You are:

• Ready to jump into a critical engineering role for both existing and new products
• Experience designing and implementing APIs in JavaScript which have been used by other developers
• Someone who knows JavaScript *really* well and also likes the ideals of TypeScript
• Able to quickly grasp and work within the various libraries, toolchains, and environments the JavaScript ecosystem has with no dogma around a particular approach
• At home in a fast paced, high growth environment and know how to get it done - whatever it may be - with a sense of urgency

You can expect to:

• Work on our core Unit Map libraries, SDKs, and tooling.
• Work on the JavaScript portions of our SightMap and SightMap Asset Intelligence products.

We would like:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience 
• A core competency of JavaScript (ES5 and ES2016+), HTML5 and CSS3
• Proficiency with TypeScript
• Proficiency with producing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with producing and consuming JSON and XML data structures
• Proficiency developing well-structured web applications using React and Redux
• Proficiency with Git workflows such as Gitflow and feature branching
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment
• The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly, with loose (at best) direction

• Modern PHP (7.0+) written with Laravel
• Private NPM / Composer package repositories
• Modern JavaScript toolchains
• Modern CI/CD processes for automated, fast, and predictable deployments
• Container workflows throughout our environments (production, development, and local)
• Cloud-scaling with AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, Elasticache, SQS, and Route53)

• Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
