What You Will Do in This Role:

As a full stack senior SW engineer, you will help build features on our existing web-based application for configuration and device management as well as develop and troubleshoot a variety of mobile applications on our Spectralink devices.

You will operate as a member of a scrum team that utilizes three-week sprints to develop software that manages purpose-built functionality on Android platform. As an example, hospitals and other retail customers will use this device configuration and management system to deploy the devices out of the box and to then control them remotely, get logs, location services, WiFi analysis, provision settings for dialer and other applications. 

You will work closely with our Platform and Applications teams along with external partners. Our team is Agile, embracing peer reviews, continuous integration and constant learning.
 

We are focused on finding a strong software engineer with expertise in some of the following areas (you will learn the rest):

• JavaEE Web development (Hibernate / Spring)
• Javascript ES5+ (Angular, TypeScript)
• SQL
• Tomcat or Apache web and application servers
• Experience in hosting multi-tenant system on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Technologies involved in web UIs (including HTML5, CSS3, LESS)

Experience with the following is a big plus (as is a strong desire to learn about these technologies):

• Android app development is a strong plus
• Python3+ scripting tools
• Kotlin
• Active directory/LDAP integration
• PostgresDB 9+
• License generation and management. Understanding of cryptographic concepts and technologies (public key cryptography, SSL …)
• NodeJS
• Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) systems (AirWatch, SOTI, InTune)

Skills and Experience we’d like you to have:

• Experience with GIT or similar repo management and version control tools. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and Agile methodology.
• Ability to quickly comprehend and debug existing code.
• Passionate about unit testing and clean coding
• Comfortable in a Linux server and workstation environment, including Bash scripting
• Experience handling customer escalations and understanding business critical interactions
• Team player with great verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science and 8 – 10 years of related professional experience or Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science and 4 – 7 years of related professional experience, or equivalent
