We are hiring for a full-time Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong AWS experience, in-depth understanding of SOA and microservice implementations along with the front end architectures that will be powered by them.

A successful candidate will take on the leadership of a team of engineers and ownership of Green Chef applications. You will be building and leading a talented team of Front End/Back End/Full Stack engineers executing on mission-critical projects and initiatives within Green Chef. Starting your first week, you will work with the Director of Engineering and the VP of Technology to set the direction and objectives of the team. From there, you will lead your team towards the successful completion of the goals working with Product Owners, Testing, and DevOps. As a part of the Engineering Team leadership, you will help set the direction for all of engineering. You will work with our DevOps team to architect elegant solutions that are robust, maintainable and extensible and provide them with feedback on tools and infrastructure needs. You will know the right tools to use for the situation, when to refactor and when to rebuild and the ability to communicate your reasoning to others.

The ideal candidate will have first-rate written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to their audience. They have a knack for methodical problem-solving and hone their craft through constant learning and experiments. (S)He understands that team leadership is their #1 priority, and a primary focus on technical mentorship raises all boats and builds a culture of learning and teaching. Responsibilities

• Be a force multiplier through effective leadership, technical direction, focused mentorship and people management of a 4 - 6 member team
• Work with DevOps to move the team into a CI/CD workflow
• Work with teams around Green Chef as the voice of your engineering team
• Ensure the stability and resilience of our applications focusing on production availability
• Technical leadership and ownership of a stack across multiple business areas focused on a specific function with an eye towards the future

Requirements

• 3+ years of team leadership, people management and technical mentoring
• Experience developing, maintaining and extending MEAN applications on AWS
• Experience developing highly scalable services and APIs
• Agile methodologies and teams

Experience with:

• AWS services
• CI/CD workflow 
• Current front end framework experience with React/Vue/Angular
• MEAN stack
• Docker
