Alteryx is searching for an Sr. Director, Enterprise Architecture based in our Broomfield, CO office. This position is remote-friendly.

Position Overview: 

 

Alteryx is looking for a Senior Director, Enterprise Architect to support our rapid growth and enable our 1600+ associates worldwide to join our Information Technology organization! 

This role combines many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information technology-related opportunities, and problems. This position catalogs, develops, coordinates, communicates, maintains, and enforces the overall Enterprise Architecture Models, Representations, Initiatives, Capabilities, and Standard Components used by the Enterprise to perform all business and technology-related activities. This position is a people manager role that will need to encourage operational excellence and provide strategic direction to internal stakeholders and any direct reports. 

 

As a Senior Director, Enterprise Architect, you will:

  • Create an Enterprise Architecture review process including business and technology stakeholders

  • Create and maintain documentation of the Enterprise Architecture 

  • Define the implementation and auditing of standards for operational excellence and governance 

  • Assisting in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with the Enterprise Architecture 

  • Serving as an advisor to senior business management on business and information integration strategies 

  • Identify and raise technical, business, and operational risks and opportunities for increased automation 

  • Demonstrate critical thinking and growth mindset, be enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly, and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems 

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to both internal engineers/team members and customers 

  • Demonstrate collaborative, team-focused approach (winning and missing as a team) 

  • Draw, engage, and maintain a high performing team of professionals 

  • Modeling and graphical representations and abstractions

  • Experience developing and building models based on The Enterprise Framework

  • Consult in business process analysis and design, and service delivery, particularly for the use of information, and trends and directions 

  • Ongoing research and assessment of new analysis approach for potential use within the Enterprise. 

 

What you provide: 

  • 10+ years of work experience in senior-level supervisory management roles in IT development and architecture experience in an information technology environment.

  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. 

  • 7+ year’s understanding of computing technologies across Windows and Linux 

  • Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services 

  • Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution 

  • Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture 

  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes 

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including SOX, ISO27001, or PCI DSS Compliance 

  • Influencing the organization to accomplish goals and needs through architecture activities 

  • Being viewed as the trusted advisor to the organization 

  • Building an effective architecture organization 

  • Demonstrating abilities to derive, define, and explicitly represent various artifacts within The Enterprise Framework 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $150 -225k. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
