JOB SCOPE
Responsible for directing and managing the Public Cloud Infrastructure engineering staff, operations, and processes. Implement and enhance consistent Cloud engineering practices to ensure stable product delivery aligned with company initiatives, expectations, and "cloud native" designs. Support operations includes technical services, access controls, infrastructure compliance, security processes / procedures, service delivery methods, deployment automation, monitoring, and network operations. Direct project planning, capital and operational budgeting--assist business plan development. Ensure a high degree of cross functional communication and participation in line with product deployment and support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Represents the Public Cloud Infrastructure team in architecture review meetings, project status, capacity planning, data management, connectivity requests, security processes, and PCI environment compliance.
  • Leads the Cloud Infrastructure Operations team daily activities including automation in the environment, monitoring systems, logging, security, and infrastructure as a service activity.
  • Manages and reports on critical metrics regarding the health of the infrastructure.
  • Provides technical support and direction to all locations regarding new or existing technologies, operational standards, and staff development.
  • Develops and operates deployment automation/packaging/configuration processes in a large-scale public cloud production environment.
  • Develops an effective front line technical leadership team and assist them with developing their technical and business acumen as to drive a high-performance culture and environment.
  • Leads an innovative, collaborative work team to produce exceptional results delivering the customer experience.
  • Oversees public cloud operations and deployment methods (i.e., pipelines, etc.,) in conjunction with development teams, application owners, network, video, application platforms, advanced engineering, and any team that is deployed in the public cloud environments.
  • Establishes and manages change management processes / policies, documents changes and system upgrades, and maintains and exercises disaster recovery plans for the public cloud environments.
  • Provides engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives-i.e., Micro-services, cloud native, DevOps, etc.
  • Evaluates and consults with all levels of leadership regarding technical operations, strategic planning of rebuilds, network operations, dispatch, and new product development and deployment.
  • Directs quality control programs for engineering operations and consistent operational procedures. Reviews selections on bids for contracted projects and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Directs capital and operational budget processes, executes approved budget plan. Runs routine reports to highlight spending by major vertical.
  • Leads and participates in succession planning.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of Engineering / Network Operations experience
  • Minimum eight (8) years of Management experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of Project Management experience

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Knowledge of Cloud Compute, Storage, Containers, and Security
  • Advanced Knowledge of Development Operations, Delivery Pipelines / Automation, and IP Networks
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems, Patch Management, and Security Compliance
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Ability to supervise and motivate others.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and skill in working across functional teams.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of designing, deploying, securing, & operating a large-scale infrastructure
  • Understand networking, load balancing principles, and deployment methods for "Infrastructure as Code."

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cloud, Compute, Storage, Containers, Security)
  • Advanced Knowledge of company products and services

The pay for this position has a salary range of
$155,600.00 to $275,800.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
