POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for hardening the foundation of our computing environment. You will work collaboratively with other talented experts to adopt security best practices for a variety of network and infrastructure systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Iterate network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors

  • Lead network efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents

  • Evaluate and test new vendor and in house network initiatives for security issues

  • Manage and iterate on edge security for our branch offices and our data centers

  • N/S and E/W traffic inspection configuration

  • Performing upgrades of network infrastructure

  • Integration of network logs into security monitoring tools

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SPT, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing

  • Familiarity with Data Center environment and hosted deployments/cloud

  • A high level of Palo Alto expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and customization of features

  • Experience in configuration and administration of Palo Alto security features such as Panorama, security policies, WildFire, URL filtering, APP-ID, User-ID, Threat prevention, Site-site VPN, Global protect and SSL decryption.

COMPENSATION:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $101,700 – $172,900. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
