What You'll Do:

Billtrust is seeking a Security Architect for our Information Security team. As the Security Architect, you will collaborate with Development, DevOps, and many other organizations across our Billtrust enterprise teams as we build and deliver new products and features, and respond to incidents as they occur. You will build processes to assess our current security state and help identify and address vulnerabilities that surface in our cloud infrastructure. You will consult with DevOps on best practices to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability. Your goal will be to help our teams improve security of applications in a complex, fast-paced, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud environment.

• Build, deploy and optimize security controls in public cloud infrastructure
• Ability to lead and manage technical security-related projects
• Collaborate and consult with our Agile development teams on security-critical product features
• Consult with Product, Development, DevOps and Quality Engineering teams to help ensure our products are safely designed and correctly implemented
• Educate developers on security best practices and identifying common vulnerabilities
• Review current system security measures and recommend and implement enhancements
• Conduct research and stay advised of trends, attacks and vulnerabilities

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Proven success in working closely with IT and DevOps teams to improve security through tools, automation and awareness – 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure platforms
• Knowledge of Security and Compliance cloud orchestration tools a plus
• Understanding of Terraform, Docker/containers, public cloud terminology
• Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally, and work well with a team-oriented environment
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar (or relevant experience)
• Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC and/or GIAC nice to have
