As an experienced Software Engineer, you bring solid knowledge of Scala to the team. You are solution-driven, a quick learner, and have strong communication skills, especially when relaying technical information to non-technical people. You are equipped to drive the direction for new patterns as well as surfacing potential improvements in the existing platform. How you’ll be spending your days:

• Mostly developing in Scala to build a Spark-based data processing pipeline to transform (cleanse, normalize, match, dedup, etc) raw data into analysis-ready/usable data for our applications, growth platform services, and our data scientists
• We're running our data processing pipeline in a managed cluster with dynamic auto-scaling and so bringing experience around performance optimization, speed, and ease of deployment, version control, and maintenance.
• Evaluating and handling/processing large amounts of new data from varied sources. This will lead to the development of new functionality in our data pipeline (both for ingress and for consumers) and will provide LOTS of job security as we help organizations grow their people.
• Continual efforts to bake in data privacy and security with everything we do. Data privacy and security is of the utmost concern for us.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent technology industry experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer building enterprise-level integration solutions in a commercial environment
• Experience with iPaaS, APIs, SDKs Scripting; advanced level Scala skills
• Experience in REST implementation and Microservices Architecture
• Understanding of Web Services, Web Development and Service Oriented Architecture
• Ability to build and execute testing programs - integration, load, performance – you have a need for speed!
• A passion for delivering high performance, well-architected software that is easy to maintain
