General Purpose

As a Salesforce Software Engineer you are responsible for the design, development and deploy both new implementations/new functionality as well as ongoing support on the Salesforce.com platform.  You will be a critical part of a project team responsible for owning and executing delivery of custom solutions that are uniquely tailored to the business’ needs. You will work directly with business subject matter experts, Product Managers and other engineering team members to understand their needs and detailed requirements, and will be responsible for designing a robust solution to meet those needs, communicating that solution in a clear and professional manner. 

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all technical aspects of a Salesforce.com implementation, including custom code, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, and AppExchange products.
  • Responsible for development, configuration and quality assurance in the Salesforce.com platform including Visualforce, Apex, Triggers, custom objects, and SOQL.
  • A passion for TDD and ensuring test coverage and validation of functionality is implemented and can be verified on an ongoing basis with future releases.
  • Experience in integrating enterprise applications with other API enabled Business Systems (i.e., Salesforce.com, Data.com, Zuora, DocuSign, Incent, Marketo or other marketing solutions etc.)
  • Own release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Experience in working in an agile environment utilizing tools such as Jira, Microsoft TFS, and Confluence.
  • Create and manage project artifacts such as status reports and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work well across offices and timezones in working with both other team members, end users and stakeholders.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
  • 3 plus years Salesforce.com development including custom objects, Apex, Visualforce, Force.com, Triggers, Migration Tools, and Web Services.
  • Strong analytical skills and software engineering experience.
  • Experience with enterprise integration to Salesforce.com.
  • Strong self-starter and results-driven individual.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Required Education and/or Experience
  • BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 plus years developing on the Salesforce.com platform.
  • Salesforce Developer (Dev 401) Certification is a plus.
  • 3 plus years working in an Agile Environment.
