The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Salesforce Engineering Manager to join our Sales Operations team in Denver, Colorado

Candidate profile

 This role will manage a designated group of software applications including Salesforce front-end development. Management of these applications includes everything in the life cycle of a software application from system selection, implementation, on-going support, enhancements, and upgrades related to the software. This position serves as the liaison among application users, the application vendor, and other resources. This manager will supervise business analysts and Salesforce administrators.

What You’ll Do 

  • Ensures applications meet the needs of business users.
  • “Owns” Salesforce front-end development and administration from a configuration, usability perspective. Knows everything required to successfully administer the application.
  • Keeps current on upgrade status of each application, planning well in advance of required upgrades or system replacement projects.
  • Using strong project management skills, coordinates the activities of users and vendors when upgrades or maintenance activities are required.
  • Develops strong relationships with department heads and develops an understanding of the system needs of their users. Periodically meet with department heads to assess satisfaction level with their applications and plan for long-term improvements.
  • Supervises a team of business analysts and Salesforce administrators. 
  • Coordinates with Salesforce Development team
  • On-boards new employees efficiently and thoroughly. 
  • Directs, mentors, coaches, and guides team members. Performs annual performance reviews. Handles or escalates personnel issues promptly.
  • Assists and guides business analysts and administrators on the team to ensure that systems produced are efficient, robust, and meet the ultimate requirements of the users.
  • Supports and enforces department guidelines for standard development procedures, source control, and data integrity.
  • Works with cross functionally with teams to ensure applications are running as efficiently and securely as possible.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required Certifications (or achieved within first year within position): Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201), Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (ADM-211)
  • Experience in information systems development.
  • Experience in designing new systems or enhancements preferred.
  • Experience developing solutions with Salesforce Sales, Service Cloud, MarketingCloud, CPQ, and/or Billing
  • Experience with Zuora a huge plus
  • Experience in supervising administrators or leading projects with multiple developers preferred.
  • Project management and organizational abilities, experience working in sprints, with an ability to initiate and execute complex, cross-functional projects with minimal guidance.
  • Experience working with an issue tracking application and utilizing an agile project management methodology
  • Ability to interact successfully with company employees at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication.

 

For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $175,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
