As our Salesforce DevOps Architect, you will provide technical strategy and direction to our clients and our build teams to all tooling, processes, documentation, quality engineering, and release management for the Salesforce ecosystem. You will then provide deep expertise and thought leadership in presales, post-sales, and internal scenarios, including technical solutions, framework, methods, best practices, and standards, positioning yourself with our clients and internal teams as a trusted advisor. You will design, implement and support development pipelines at enterprise scale and complexity in collaboration with and support of build teams.

Skills
Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

    • 6+ years of relevant experience in technical consulting or an equivalent combination of experience and education
    • 3+ years of proven experience in delivering Salesforce DevOps, Quality Engineering, and/or Agile frameworks in a consulting environment
    • 2+ years of professional experience in a test-driven and formal QE/CI/CD development environment
    • 3+ years of experience creating test artifacts, best practices, and standards; maintaining them for organization-wide consumption
    • 2+ years of experience in enterprise agile development practices (e.g. SAFe, LeSS, DaD, etc)
    • Demonstrated ability to articulate processes and tools utilized to ensure quality, stability, performance, scalability, deployment, security, maintenance, and documentation
    • Demonstrated ability to formulate, document, and maintain Quality Engineering standards and best practices
    • Demonstrated experience in process management and improvement
    • Experience supporting pre-sales activities in the Salesforce DevOps space
    • Extensive knowledge around challenging metadata areas and resolving merge conflicts
    • Experience with Version Control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.) and system registration, setup, branching strategy, environment strategy, etc.
    • Experience with Salesforce DX structure, scratch orgs, and packaging
    • Proven stakeholder relationship management at the Director level
    • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the latest trends in DevOps methodologies, processes, and tools, as well as emerging solutions and the ability to apply them when appropriate
    • 2+ certifications on Salesforce DevOps platforms (e.g. Copado, Flosum, etc)
    • 2+ Salesforce Technical Certifications (Platform Developer I is required)
    • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong collaboration and team-building skills, with the ability to work with all levels and roles of an organization effectively
    • At least one certification in agile development preferred
    • Demonstrable MDM and data integration experience preferred
    • Operations & management qualifications (ITIL v3) preferred


What You Will Be Doing

    • Manages the planning and execution of all deployment activities across multiple project streams in a continuous delivery environment
    • Liaises and consults with the client to manage and mature DevOps automation and release management
    • Provides developer training to ensure consistency between project streams
    • Supports merge conflicts and clean-up source control in collaboration with the build team members
    • Translates the technical plan for development management and DevOps automation into client understandable language and communicate effectively
    • Develops processes to anticipate and address the client's needs for seamless onboarding and execution of DevOps products/programs
    • Guides DevOps teams to establish enterprise-wide DevOps strategies
    • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path
    • Establishes strategic roadmaps for successful implementation starting from onboarding to delivery and maintenance
    • Serves as the medium between build teams, operations, governance, and DevOps teams for full technical support
    • Defines a communication process to resolve errors
    • Manages key client relationships and ensure successful project execution
    • Conducts solution reviews with project teams
    • Leads, mentors, and provides direction to a delivery team of consultants
    • Identifies and establishes best practices and tools for future Salesforce DevOps implementation projects
    • Provides advanced technical and/or business consultative services including functional and technical documentation, training, and workshop leadership
    • Implements CI/CD strategies that incorporate the entire application development lifecycle as well as the continual evolution of cross-functional collaboration, associated best practices, and standards
    • Provides technical leadership and strategic direction for Quality Engineering and DevOps implementations
    • Devises Quality Engineering and DevOps transformation strategy for large organizations and drive toward successful implementation
    • Other responsibilities as assigned
