Title: Sales Engineer (Inside for VictorOps)

Do you love being the technical arm for "Sales Reps"? Do you love crafting demos and POC? If you answered yes to these questions then we have a home for you at VictorOps (division of Splunk). In this role you will be a high-caliber Sales Engineer and you know how to aid customers in technical sales engineering capacities. You will also help with pre and post sales for VictorOps out of our Boulder CO office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will Support Sales Reps selling VictorOps opportunities to prospects and existing customers. You will demonstrate VictorOps/Splunk products and services to customers onsite, remotely via webinar sessions and at field events such as conferences and trade shows. In addition you will:

• Position VictorOps/Splunk technology and solutions to both business and technical users
• Build demos, POC and trials
• Work and collaborate with various areas such as: DevOps, IT Ops etc.
• Answer questions related to IT around integration, monitoring and ticketing systems etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years in a similar sales engineer role preferred (or 5 years sales engineer combined experience with IT support and and or IT customer facing role)
• Above experience in a software company
• Knowledge and hands on experience working with DevOps & IT
• Working and basic knowledge of integration, configuration, coding.
• Experience and understand Application Program Interface (API), and how to get systems to work and communicate together
• Familiar with Monitor systems (like DataDogs, New Relic etc.), ticketing systems (like ServiceNow etc.) and Chat tools (like Slack)
  • resume listed with the above monitor systems or VictorOps will get preference 
• Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not a show stopper)
• Able to write pseudocode a must 
• Experience with C/C++, Shell, Perl Python (preferred)
• Travel around 30%
• Able to commute daily to our Boulder Colorado office
