Kin + Carta West, formerly Spire Digital, is seeking a React / Node Full Stack Developer. A recipient of several best-place-to-work awards, Kin + Carta offers an open-minded, fast-paced, exciting culture of passionate individuals working together to build awesome software and digital products. This is a 4-week engagement starting as soon as possible. This is a contract, hourly position. 

What You Will Be Doing as React/Node Full Stack Engineer :

  • Participate in web development projects and knowledge share sessions

  • Mentor other members of the team

  • Code, produce, modify, and maintain sophisticated websites for desktop and mobile devices

  • Focusing on the user-interface layer or front end, the Full-stack Developer works closely with a small team to produce fully-functioning, clean, visually appealing web pages and/or interfaces

  • Tackle code tack requirements for greenfield product build

  • Own API development and connecting to APIs

  • Collaborate on optimal user experience choices based on business requirements

  • Interface with small team of motivated engineers, product, design and QA to achieve development/company goals and tasks

  • Reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions from the data available, and develop effective solutions while applying creative thinking in the design and development of high performing web applications.

  • Integrate front end code with backend Web services

Your Profile Includes:

  • Proven success designing and implementing new features and functionality for web

  • Proven experience establishing and guiding websites’ architecture

  • Responsive/mobile-first mentality

  • Experience with APIs
  • 2-3+ years of React Web development experience

  • 2-3+ years of JavaScript coding experience

  • 3+ years of experience creating fully operational web applications based on design concepts

  • 1-2+ years of Node development/backend development experience

  • 2+ years of experience supporting existing code bases

  • 1-2+ years of experience writing code from scratch

  • 6 months+ of experience working with AWS

  • 1+ years of experience with Postgres database

  • 1+ years of proven success working with remote teams

Payment Info:

  • A 1099 position for this skillset offers between $40-80/hr, DOE; this role is one without benefits.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Kin + Carta offers Flexible Spending Account, Limited Purpose Spending Account, Dependent Care FSA, Transportation, & Parking.
Disability insurance
We offer employer-paid STD & LTD. STD has a benefit amount of 60% of your weekly earnings up to $1,500 per week. LTD has a benefit amount of 60% of your monthly earnings up to $10,000 per month.
