Who we are:

We are the cannabis industry’s hiring resource. In the last two years through direct hire, Vangst Gigs and our job board, we’ve connected over 10,000 people with jobs in the cannabis industry. Our team has grown from a team of one to a team of fifty with plans to hit seventy-five by the end of the year. We are recruiting a React .JS Engineer to help us continue to enhance our platform with new features.

This person will be focused on fronted, but also get their hands into our Node backend and the MySQL Database. Do you find yourself constantly researching state-of-the-art technology? What you will do:

• Help design overall architecture of the our applications

• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering and product team to design and launch new features

• Maintain code integrity and organization

• Understand and implement security and data protection

What you have done in the past:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a developer or engineer

• Highly experienced with CSS

• Proficient experience using advanced React Patterns and APIs (Context, Render Props, HOC, etc...)

• Proficient in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL or Postgres

• Senior level knowledge of API design and development

• Detailed understand of continuous integration (CI) practice and testing disciplines

• High-level understand of AWS systems and services

• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN

• A positive relationship with cannabis products and industries

Preferred Experience:

• High level of comfort working in an Agile environment.

• Knowledge of high-availability (HA) coding practices and strategies

• Active Github account

• Experience with styled components
