Quality Engineer II

As a Quality Engineer II, you'll ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment. You'll participate in the designing and testing of our processes, mechanisms, and equipment, and development of standardized quality acceptance criteria. You'll write inspection procedure, assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections, obtain disposition, and implement corrective action as needed, as well as participate in audits. You'll provide support during planning, organizing, and conducting of our projects involving the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.
Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL-designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations. Must-haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements
- Experience in manufacturing and inspection
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures
- Knowledge of SO9001, AS9001 standards
Preferred:
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards
- Experience with EEE (electrical and electronic equipment)

- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
- Rarely exposed to loud noises

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $79,264.96 - $108,989.32. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
