What you’ll do:
- Provides technical leadership for distributed teams who are nearshore contractors and remote employees
- Hands on with manual and automation testing activities for backend database systems and web-based applications
- Verify data mappings
- Evangelize shift-left testing practices across the organization
- Must be willing to mentor quality assurance and development engineers in QA best practices
- Foster a high degree of teamwork and collaboration across the organization
- Creation and maintenance of test documentation in Confluence and Jira
- Develop quality metrics and KPIs to measure software quality across engineering
- Assist with implementing CI/CD and automation infrastructure
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance and software testing
- 3+ years of test automation using Jmeter or Postman for API testing
- Proficient with SQL or Postgres databases and querying
- Strong knowledge of XML and JSON
- Oversees the quality for high volume backend systems and web-based applications
- Excels in a fast-paced development environment and able to maintain high quality standards
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Selenium Webdriver w Java a plus
- Experience with build tools like Jenkins
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Open to trying new things and not intimidated by failing
