Overview

Four Winds Interactive is actively seeking Quality Assurance Engineer to join and support our Cloud Team. This position will perform product testing and uphold agreed upon quality standards in order to provide the highest quality software products. This individual will be responsibile for evaluating and testing new or modified software to determine that software meets user requirements and established quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set an example in integrity, responsibility, emphasis on quality, discipline and sense of teamwork to other QA Engineers
  • Under minimal direction, work on complex assignments which are typically delegated in terms of objectives rather than specific instruction or priorities
  • Take full ownership of assigned tasks and proactively provide detailed status report to QA manager/director
  • Create and maintain test cases using test case management tool
  • Execute functional, regression, acceptance, and performance testing
  • Report, track and determine priority for bugs
  • Verify new features and assist with training if necessary
  • Work on documentation and other related tasks for release of products
  • Actively support/troubleshoot escalated issues from both internal and external customers
  • Install applications in the physical and virtualized environment
  • Proactively identify risks and problems, suggest solutions and follow through to resolve the issue
  • Initiate meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to discuss and resolve any issues related to projects
  • Champion process improvement that leads to efficiency in testing and release
  • Take ownership and serve as subject matter expert (SME) in multiple products and features
  • Mentor Associate QA Engineers and interns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 3 years of industry experience, focused on software quality assurance
  • Deep knowledge in Amazon Cloud Architecture and its services
  • Hands on experience in functional and API testing
  • Strong knowledge of QA concepts and methodology
  • Extensive experience using issue tracking systems such as JIRA
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to solve complex problems in theface of time pressure and information/resource constraints
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced and somewhat chaotic environment and manage continuously changing business needs; excellent multi-tasking and time management skills required
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

Helpful for Success:

  • Strong expertise in industry leading software quality tools & process (both functional and performance)
  • Familiarity with automation testing and tools
  • Testing experience in security, mobile products and cloud-based applications
  • Experience using Four Winds software and/or understanding of the Digital Signage Industry/Market

 

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

 

Compensation Range: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00
