Xyleme, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to perform testing of its content management platform. As a member of the Xyleme team, you will play a central role in ensuring product components are tested thoroughly and are of high quality when ready for release to customers. Experience doing hands-on testing of both complex web-based, mobile and desktop applications is required.
Responsibilities
This successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with other QA, developers, and product managers to understand overall product requirements and use cases in order to develop test cases for new features, as well as future regression tests.
  • Running tests for new features, in several different desktop and mobile device environments.
  • Participating in daily/weekly meetings to understand current and future sprint plans, report daily testing status, and describe problems, blockers, and challenges.
  • Assisting in the reproduction and verification of customer problems and issues.
  • Ability to assist multiple teams as required to complete new projects, as well as supplement existing teams as required to finish existing projects.


Minimum Requirements
The following requirements are mandatory. Resumes not meeting these requirements will not be considered:

  • 2+ years of software testing
  • Competent in all aspects of testing: functional, user-level, reliability, fail-over, performance, exploratory and regression
  • Experience in testing, bug reporting, and creation of test cases
  • Experience developing functional test cases according to the requirements of the product documented in a user story
  • Ability to evaluate the completeness of test coverage of a particular functional area, based on overall requirement provided
  • Upper intermediate or higher written and verbal communication skills in English (this is a must)
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Energetic, positive, with the ability to bring a "can do" attitude to challenges
  • Genuine enjoyment of Software Quality Assurance testing work
  • Experience in working in an agile and/or Kanban delivery framework
  • Familiar with Jira bug tracking tool, and Xray test management tool a plus


Other Skills

  • Experience in writing testing/technical documentation
