Job Overview:
We are looking for a QA Engineer whose primary responsibilities include manually testing development stories for acceptance while designing and building out test cases as a consistent baseline and to protect against future regressions. You will work closely with all of our engineering teams, including Product, Development, UX, and your fellow QA team to ensure the applications’ functionality consistently meets expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Test stories for acceptance during ongoing development sprints
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation
- Work collaboratively within high-performance teams (e.g. product managers, developers, UX engineers) to champion product quality for our clients
- Escalate critical issues, blockers, and risks to the appropriate channels in a timely manner to minimize the impact on project timelines
- Identify and document and track defects according to the company’s standards in a bug tracking system
- Debug and troubleshoot defects to help our developers fix issues efficiently

Compensation:
$55k - $70k depending upon experience
Location Requirements:
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our office is open on an as-needed basis only. Employees are temporarily remote.
As restrictions are lifted and it becomes safe to gather, ability to report to our Denver office is preferred. Some work from home flexibility will be available.
Other Requirements:
Currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

- Experience with a test case management tool, such as TestRail or other
- Excellent communicator, both spoken and written
- Familiarity with the philosophies of the agile/scrum process
- Understanding of modern software development practices and methodologies
- Experience with the Linux operating system and bash or python scripting
- Understanding of multiple-environment setups and how to test efficiently in each
- Experience testing APIs for both internal and external use
- Ability to dive in, learn, explore, and suggest solutions independently as well as collaboratively
Bonus Qualifications
- Ideally a preferred candidate would have at least 1-2 years of experience
- Experience with Postman
- Experience with Javascript, Python, Bash, and/or Java
- Experience with git and GitHub
- Experience in advertising
- Understanding microservice architecture and how microservices interact with each other
- Familiarity with automated testing and its importance
