The SALT Lending platform is a unique integration of legacy programming languages and platforms with new ones that barely have a tutorial written. As such, on the one hand, we are looking for a seasoned professional who can ensure code meets our established standards. On the other hand, we are looking for a pioneer – someone who enjoys living at the frontier and is not afraid to challenge existing practices and techniques. 

The QA Engineer is responsible for delivering quality in our software design process. The QA role will be responsible for automating build tasks to ensure the code meets our high quality standards before it reaches our members. You will be very engaged in the details, making sure we have a repeatable, automated way to ensure our code can pass unit tests, as well as automated web tests across all browsers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, creating quality test data when required.
  • Work with the test lead to identify any challenges that could cause problems during the test automation process.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • File tickets in Jira for valid bug reports. Work closely with both the Engineering and IT departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Work in a fast paced Agile development environment.
  • Aid in design, implementation, and execution of new and existing automated and manual tests
  • Help write documentation for our software tools.
  • Write scripts to do automated testing of our software using software.
  • Perform functional, regression and other testing activities.
  • Follow team's QA processes such as documenting defects, project related documentation, partnering with other team members to see the product through to production.



Requirements: 

  • 3-4 years of experience testing web-based software
  • Experience testing with Selenium or other automated browsing testing software
  • Experience testing multiple clients (Chrome, Firefox, mobile, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write robust integration and unit tests, as well as collaborate with other devs and QC channels to diagnose and fix bugs fast
  • Basic understanding of Bitcoin and Ethereum: general concepts, scripting, smart contracts
  • Basic understanding of cryptographic primitives like hashing, macs, PK-crypt
  • Unix Experience Required
  • Experience reading and writing SQL
  • Familiarity / experience in a modern JavaScript stack is desired*



Job type Full-time. Must be in Greater Denver Area or willing to relocate.
