QA Engineer

Our team at Well Data Labs is on a mission to tackle hard data problems within large Oil and Gas companies by creating intuitive and well-tuned software that makes our users look awesome!

We are looking for an intellectually curious and collaborative problem-solver to join our Product Team and be our first dedicated QA Tester / Engineer.

 

This is an awesome opportunity for someone who has several years of experience in QA and would love to set up

QA processes and workflows from scratch and help build the foundation for our QA department!

 

Projects and assignments you’d work on :

  • Building our QA processes and workflows from scratch, essentially
  • Create and write test plans, test cases, and implement testing workflows
  • Perform regression, functional, manual and UI testing
  • Write automated tests using Selenium or similar
  • Write REST API/integration tests
  • Collaborate directly with our developer team from planning to feature release
  • Work closely with our Sr. Product Manager to define acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with the Support team to document and track bugs

 

Qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • 4 yrs proven experience as a QA tester (or similar role) with the responsibilities above
  • Solid Selenium or similar experience
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Knowledge of project management and QA methodologies
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Ability to articulate and simplify complex scenarios
  • Familiarity with Pivotal Tracker, Trello, Asana, or other issue tracking and support applications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

 

BONUS if you have:

  • Experience building and creating QA processes for a software development team at a startup
  • Experience working in customer service or technical support in a SaaS environment
