Overview

 

 

Four Winds Interactive seeks a QA Engineer to work with the Quality Assurance Engineering team. This position is responsible for preventative identification of software issues through a thorough testing lifecycle of native mobile software and related components. The QA Engineer will have a direct impact on the success of our software product suite by communicating with engineering teams to identify and resolve software related concerns. The QA Engineer is a non-managing roll that will report to a QA Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate integrity, sense of responsibility, emphasis on quality, discipline and sense of teamwork on daily basis
  • Create and maintain test cases using TestRail
  • Execute functional, regression, acceptance, and performance testing
  • Actively support/troubleshoot escalated issues from both internal and external customers
  • Report, track and determine priority for bugs
  • Provide status reports to the QA lead and/or manager as necessary

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in software quality assurance with 2+ years’ experience in manual and automated testing of native mobile applications in the iOS and/or Android ecosystem
    • Experienced in SQL DB/Server, IIS and installations for web applications
    • Experience using issue tracking systems such as JIRA

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Solid understanding of iOS and Android OS features and nuances
    • Solid understanding of iOS/Android OS Device differences
    • Ability to troubleshoot, identify defects and verify bug fixes
    • Ability to write, execute test scripts and report on results
    • Flexible to work on various tasks on short notice
    • Ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with both local and remote development team members.

    Desired Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • 1 + year experience with native application UI automation testing in iOS and/or Android
    • Experience setting up test automation frameworks for iOS/Android mobile applications
    • Experience in writing scripts, mark-up text, and expressions
    • Experience using Four Winds software and/or understanding of the Digital Signage Industry/Market
