An Insider's view of American Auto Shield

What are some social events your company does?

Working with a remote team has been a challenge coordinating social events, but we’ve overcome it with virtual happy hours, team lunches, and special events like virtual haunted house tours over Teams. Even though I do not live in the same state with the majority of my team, I feel really connected to them due to our virtual events.

Kelley

Director - People Services

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

In Data Science, we face challenges implementing a cloud-based infrastructure to solve big data machine learning problems. We are developing machine learning classification models that will help predict customer claim and complaint events, as well as, data visualization processes to illuminate patters of customer behavior and intent.

Charles

What makes someone successful on your team?

It’s the energy and attitude they bring. Showing up every day, being present for our customers – external and internal, and maintaining a can-do attitude translate into success. Work hard, execute, and have a learning mindset. Ask for help when you need it, make good decisions, and don’t be afraid to fail.

Rene

EVP - Operations/Business Development

What is your vision for the company?

My vision for AAS is to take reporting and analytics to the next level and beyond so our employees can use their skills to add value, enjoy their work, and make AAS the best place to work. I encourage my team to present and discuss their ideas as well as having one or more challenge ideas, to keep the questions flowing and ideas moving.

Brett
