Job Description

As a Publisher Support Analyst you will be responsible for supporting Sovrn's publishers, publisher advocate team and operations publisher support teams through proactive, data-driven insights that lead to understanding and optimization of the Sovrn Exchange. This role requires daily report tracking and analysis, advanced data manipulation and strategic optimization planning for individual accounts as well as the broader exchange. This position works closely with the Ad Operations Team as well as the Publisher Advocates, and requires strong data analysis skills, and the ability to distill complex trends into easily-understood visualizations. This position will be expected to use available data and reporting to identify technical issues, seasonal trends and publisher business strategy pivots. In considering all available data signals this position will make recommendations to publishers and the publisher services team to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop regular tracking methods to identify optimization opportunities for publisher accounts
  • Monitor daily reports for performance optimization opportunities and/or performance issues
  • Identify quick fixes for publisher account performance issues
  • Attend sales calls with broader pub services team to advise on optimization strategies
  • Create a playbook for ideal account optimization strategy
  • Play an integral role in performance analysis triage
  • Monitor multiple groups of accounts across verticals, groups and indexes
  • Pull publisher data from hive to assist in preparing sales team for regular calls and QBRs
  • Identify accounts with yield opportunities and advise on ideal steps forward
  • Contribute to rotating schedule of weekend operational support

Requirements

  • SQL, HQL understanding
  • Data analysis and visualization
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python a plus
  • Experience using client side (browser) debug tools such as firebug or developer tools
  • Understanding of function and use of Sovrn publisher tools/products
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong composition and language skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Formulas, pivot tables, etc)
  • Understand and navigate reporting tools such as Tableau and Grafana
  • Internet savvy and strong proficiency in office productivity tools (Gmail, Google Apps, Salesforce CRM)
  • Quickly establish trust and rapport with key stakeholders
  • Provides strong problem solving skills by looking at situations from all perspectives
  • Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary
  • Ability to prioritize and strategically work through tasks with appropriate and dedicated urgency
  • Organized with ability to work on multiple projects effectively
  • Ability to read, organize, and analyze data sets and provide recommendations to provide the best solution for our publishers
