About the team:
FIS is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work as a key team member designing and developing highly transactional, Cloud-based microservices and solutions, with a focus on B2B payments and AR/AP solutions with deep integration into enterprise ERPs . The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of .NET, cloud-based microservices development within AWS, and be able to solve for the big picture while understanding the details. What you will be doing:
The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with Engineering leadership to identify product needs, business needs and technical solutions; analyze, design, code, test product software and solutions; support existing products and services; document technical requirements and architecture for products and services; adhere to and enforce SDLC process and procedures; lead and mentor team members; and report to leadership on project statuses.

  • Architect, design, and develop B2B products and services with Engineering lead for Cloud using a microservices approach.
  • Follow and enforce SDLC and standards as well as make recommendations to improve both.
  • Propose solutions and ideas to drive innovation and efficiency within the domain's products and services
  • Troubleshoot various products and services already in production as needed.
  • Participate in SAFe and Agile meetings as appropriate.


What you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience designing and developing software products using Microsoft C# and .NET. .NET Core experience a plus.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing microservices and cloud-based applications using containers.
  • Working experience with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding techniques.
  • SQL experience, including writing/optimizing stored procedures within PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server.
  • Experience with any of these technologies is a plus: Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, Cassandra/NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, Git, Jenkins.
  • Experience implementing RESTful APIs, Web services, and Windows services.
  • Experience with and understanding of ASP.NET Core, JSON, WSDLs, WCF, XSD, XML, SOAP, Marshaling, Un-marshaling, Multi-threading, etc.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to work within a very collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.


Added bonus if you have:

  • AWS experience
  • Instacluster and RDS knowledge
  • Payments Industry experience
  • SAP experience (ECC 6, S/4HANA 1809+) huge plus
  • Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or NetSuite experience a plus
