Principal Software Architect

We are looking for a talented, hands-on Principal Software Architect to lead us in owning our cloud infrastructure, supporting our DevOps culture, and driving software architecture innovation across a multi-team Agile Scrum organization.

• Provide ownership for the cloud infrastructure that hosts our OrthoFi product and/or supports our software development teams
• Bring a hands-on player/coach mindset, actively contributing in building scalable architecture systems for the company’s highest priority initiatives
• Bring a focus on miro-services and component based architecture, influencing modern and mature practices that promote scale
• Not afraid to evaluate new technologies, build prototypes, and learn through risk-averse production use and rollout in order to achieve continuous improvements
• Play a key role in the technical roadmap to promote infrastructure reliability, scalability, and developer productivity. Actively drive concepts and participation in Chapter discussions in order to move the ball forward.
• Work with scrum teams to promote a strong sense of DevOps as a culture, driving release infrastructure improvements through improved CI/CD processes
• Aspiring for routine automation of every repeatable task, driving towards a world of infrastructure as code using Terraform, CircleCI, and/or Jenkins
• Define and implement best practices that drive a core infrastructure that is highly-available, secure, cost efficient, and highly performant. Provide ownership of key metrics around infrastructure uptime and page performance.
• Instrument the infrastructure with frameworks that can be appropriately adopted for logging, monitoring, and alerting.

What You Will Bring:

• 5+ years of senior-level professional software development experience
• 3+ years exposure to AWS Cloud infrastructure and/or DevOps experience
• Experience with Infra as code and CI/CD using Terraform, CircleCI, Jenkins or similar build infrastructure
• Strong familiarity with .Net/Core, Angular7, Lamba, Redis, SQL Server, NoSQL
• Familiarity with Test Automation tools and frameworks; XUnit, Selenium, Cypress JS, SauceLabs, etc.
• Experience with Linux is a plus
• Familiarity with Docker or any other containerization product, along with microservices architecture
• Familiarity w/ Open Source use and sound decision making practices for adoption
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment using a scaled agile workflow
