A Principal Architect for Agile Central works in partnership with a team of system architects and with the engineering and product teams to help define and ensure consistent implementation of the architectural roadmap. This position reports to a Director of Engineering, and will be embedded in an Agile Central squad (focus area).

 

This role is a fully-qualified senior Architect who can work independently interfacing with cross-functional team members, and internal and external customers at every level.

In this position, you will:

  • Work across teams to ensure consistent implementation of architectural vision
  • Work with technical stakeholders to define and communicate architectural and technical standards
  • Understand how Agile Central fits into the larger CA portfolio, and what integration points currently exist or may be necessary in the future
  • Review, maintain, adjust and be responsible for the integrity of architecture directives, and ensure that they match the current product implementation, as well as aligned to the product and architectural roadmap
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to members of the Agile Central Engineering team
  • Write and ship code regularly to keep up with current development paradigms

 

What experience do I need?

  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in software design and development
  • You have experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security
  • You think “full stack”
  • You have hands-on experience in a wide variety of platforms and programming languages including Java, JavaScript and Clojure
  • You have familiarity in modern front-end development, such as React/Redux
  • You have strong experience in a SaaS environment
  • You have experience deploying applications in Cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
  • You have experience scaling large data and analytics systems including Oracle, Mongo and Spark
  • You have experience working in a collaborative Agile software development engineering environment
  • You have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and diplomacy skills with an ability to multitask and work across departments and divisional structure
  • You are self-motivated and focused with excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to continuously prioritize in a rapidly changing environment and the flexibility to work independently
  • You have an ability to mentor others and build relationships, persuade and influence individuals at all levels
